Bring a beautiful touch of classic European artistry to your space with this exquisite vintage miniature oval portrait frame from Silver Scenes (Made in Wales). Masterfully sculpted by artist Maureen Ann Story-Jones, this ornate frame showcases an incredibly delicate, high-relief pattern of wild celandine flowers, winding stems, and detailed botanical leaves framing the central window.
The reverse features a rich royal blue velvet interior window casing, a floral-engraved backplate, and an integrated dual-prong peg stand baseline.
This stunning collectors' item is hand-cast in high-grade solid British pewter and heavily layered with an antique silver plate finish. The casting displays a beautiful natural tarnish that highlights the deep crevices of the floral design.
The outer perimeter casing is beautifully hand-engraved with an excerpt from the famous 1803 poem "To the Small Celandine" by the legendary English Romantic poet William Wordsworth:
"There's a flower that shall be mine, 'Tis the little celandine."
Backing: Royal Blue Velvet with an ornate, floral-stamped silver-tone backing
