🌸 Vintage Silver Scenes Secret Garden Mini Frame Solid Pewter Silver Plate 🌸

Capture a beautiful piece of British design history with this highly collectible vintage miniature photo frame from the renowned artisans at Silver Scenes (Made in Wales). Masterfully designed by sculptor Maureen Ann Story-Jones, this ornate rectangular landscape frame captures the serene and romantic theme of a secret cottage garden.

The front facade features a spectacular, highly detailed dimensional scene complete with trailing ivy vines, blooming garden flowers, a classic wicker garden armchair, a rustic wheelbarrow, and a tiny songbird perched on a stone garden fence wall.

This stunning collectors' item is hand-cast in high-quality solid British pewter before being heavily layered with an antique silver plate finish. The heavy pewter core gives this tiny frame a substantial, premium weight, while the silver plating highlights the exquisite, deep relief detailing. The back is beautifully finished in a rich, royal blue velvet casing with a dual peg-foot tabletop stand base.

The outer edges of the frame casing are hand-engraved with the complete first stanza of the poignant World War I memorial poem "The Deserted Garden" (Ypres, July 1917) by Scottish author Alasdair Alpin MacGregor:

"I love this garden, for you used to play About its haunted shadows long ago; The years glide by in waves of blossom gay, And tides of jewelled snow."
