Five pieces of cut crystal in two sizes — three wine or water goblets at 5 inches, and two cordials at 3 inches. Rounded bowls on slender stems with plain polished feet, each cut with the same spare linear design: long curving lines and slim leaf forms, laid on with a fine wheel and left unpolished.

The cutting is deliberately quiet. From across a room these read as plain glass; pick one up and turn it to the light and the whole design appears. It is the opposite of showy, which is exactly why a set like this survives — it goes with everything already on the table.

The two cordials carry a gold rim, now mostly worn away with use. The three larger glasses have no gold. Worth being straightforward about: that difference means these are very likely a gathered lot rather than one factory service — two sizes in a matching cut, collected together, which is how most people actually build a glass shelf. They read as one group on a table; they are not being sold as a suite.

Two sizes covers two jobs: the larger for wine or water, the smaller for a sherry, a port or an after-dinner liqueur.

Unmarked, as nearly all cut stemware of this period is. No maker is claimed.
