A cowboy on horseback with the Stars and Stripes, a saguaro and a big Texas star — and the full “el Grande” pizza recipe printed right in the well, crust and topping both.
It is a proper recipe: cornmeal in the dough, chilled an hour and pressed out on a pizza pan, then ground beef with pimento, green chiles, onion flakes, chili powder, basil, black pepper and cayenne under shredded cheddar. 400° for 35 minutes. The whole thing is on the plate, so there is no card to lose.
The rim is fluted and the brown-and-rust transfer is crisp and fully legible.
