Nineteen pieces of Rosenthal's Bunte Blätter — Colored Leaves — rose, soft yellow, grey and sage scattered loose across fine white porcelain, each piece finished with a thin gold rim.

The shape is Form E, designed by Raymond Loewy, and the backstamp says so without ambiguity: ROSENTHAL / SELB-PLÖSSBERG / GERMANY / FORM E / MODELL / R. LOEWY. Loewy is the man behind the Studebaker Avanti, the Shell logo and the Greyhound bus; in the 1950s he brought the same clean modern instinct to Rosenthal's table, and this is that work you can eat off.

Please read the piece list before buying. This is a partial, assembled set, not a service — there are no dinner plates, and the counts don't make tidy place settings. What it will do is set tea for three, bring real porcelain into a collection of plain white dishes, or fill the gaps if you already collect the pattern.
