A ready-made gallery wall — four pieces that already go together. No hunting for frames that match, no guessing whether the colours agree, no building a wall one find at a time over six months. It arrives coordinated.
Four grape varietals: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Zinfandel and Cabernet. Each is a botanical study of a single cluster — curling tendrils, one veined leaf, the soft bloom on the fruit — with the varietal named in small caps along the bottom edge and Martha Hinson signed up the right side of the image. Deep forest-green frames with a gold inner liner and cream mats, all four identical.
The original label is still on the back of every one: TITLE — WINE GRAPES, ARTIST — MARTHA HINSON, and at the foot, DISTRIBUTED BY PIER ONE IMPORTS, FT. WORTH, TX. They were $25 apiece new, so this was a $100 wall.
Hung as a 2x2 block: roughly 26" wide x 18" tall with a 1" gap
Hang them as a square block of four, a vertical column of two in a narrow space, a horizontal run above a sideboard, or split between a kitchen and a dining wall. Wine country décor, in wine country.
