Seven framed prints after watercolours by Maurice Legendre, the French painter known for his European city and landmark views. Each one is a different place, titled in script beneath the image — München's Marienplatz, Schloss Linderhof, the church at Ramsau near Berchtesgaden, the Frühlingsstrasse in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, St. Bartholomä on the Königssee, Heidelberg seen from the Philosophenweg, and Salzburg beneath its fortress.
Legendre's signature is printed within the image on each one — part of the printing, not pencilled in the margin. The titles below the images are hand-lettered.
All seven share the same dark walnut frames and deep green mats, and all seven are the same size, so they hang as one collection rather than seven odd pieces. The backs are sealed with uniform kraft-brown boards.
