Vintage Grazia Deruta Hand-Painted Majolica Lidded Apothecary Jar – Raffaellesco Dragon

Bring authentic Old-World European charm to your space with this stunning vintage Italian Majolica apothecary canister. Handcrafted and intricately hand-painted by artisans at the renowned Grazia Deruta workshop in Umbria, Italy, this lidded ceramic jar (historically styled as an *albarello*) showcases rich historical motifs. One side displays a striking renaissance Raffaellesco stylized dragon, while the other balances the design with a detailed orange-and-blue floral rosette medallion surrounded by elaborate scrollwork.

Finished with a high-gloss tin glaze, vibrant traditional tones of Mediterranean teal, mustard yellow, and terracotta orange, and crowned by a neatly tiered finial lid, it makes a luxurious accent for a kitchen counter, vanity display, or a high-end curiosity cabinet.

The base bears the factory's distinctive hand-painted trademark logo—a stylized deer behind a three-arched gate—along with the handwritten text "GRAZIA-DERUTA", "MADE-IN-ITALY", and the master painter’s initials "MT".

Height: 6.5 inches (with lid)

This highly collectible size is perfectly scaled to serve as a countertop sugar bowl, loose tea jar, or a vibrant decorative accent. It features a fully glazed white interior and a traditional ceramic-on-ceramic unglazed rim on the underside of the lid. The canister remains in beautiful vintage condition, free of major cracks, chips, or repairs.
