Two original rose watercolours by Northern California artist Francia Barbier, each signed and dated 1989 in her own hand below the image. She painted them from roses growing in her own front garden. Independently appraised in October 2026 at $150–$175 each.
Not prints — original watercolour on paper, with the soft wet edges and visible brushwork you only get from the real thing. Each is framed behind glass in a slim gold moulding with an oval opening cut through a pale damask-patterned mat, and the original framer’s label is still on the backing: The Gallery, Red Bluff, California.
A matched pair that belongs together — over a bed, flanking a window, or stacked in a narrow hall.
