Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible vintage Villeroy & Boch Heinrich porcelain collector plate. This piece is No. 12 in the "Children of the World" series, produced in West Germany for the benefit of UNICEF. Entitled "Nepal" (or "Child of Nepal"), the vibrant artwork features a poetic illustration of a seated child playing the flute, beautifully framed by a colorful folk-inspired floral border.
Original Information Insert: Complete documentation explaining the history behind the cultural illustration and the UNICEF collection partnership.
The plate is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. The backstamp and UNICEF logo are fully intact, clear, and readable. The box and informational paper booklet show minor signs of vintage shelf wear consistent with age, but they have done an excellent job of keeping the porcelain pristine.
