intage Mid-Century Faux Soapstone Resin Chinese Tiger-Taming Luohan Statue
Add a touch of soulful, historic charm to your space with this vintage mid-century molded resin statue depicting a reclining Chinese figure, most traditionally identified as Fuhu Luohan (the Tiger-Taming Arhat) from Buddhist folklore.
Beautifully cast from a durable composite, this piece mimics the organic texture and warm caramel hues of an antique hand-carved soapstone or horn sculpture. The sage's detailed flowing robes, prominent features, and resting hand upon the playful tiger cub capture an exquisite blend of serene wisdom and natural power. An antiquing patina glaze has been applied over the surface to enrich the intricate deep crevices and folds. The completely flat base features factory-applied protective felt pads, making it perfectly shelf-ready.
Aesthetic: Perfect for Hollywood Regency, Chinoiserie, Bohemian, or eclectic Asian-inspired decor
